Enabling a just energy transition in Africa through partnerships

International support and partnerships are needed to enable a just and inclusive clean energy transition in Africa which expands energy access via least cost sustainable energy technologies.

 

This session will showcase the breadth and depth of UK support to the energy transition in Africa, from innovation, to policy technical assistance to investments and export finance. Examples will be shared of delivery on Glasgow Commitments, the UK-Africa Investment Summit and multilateral action.

 

Participants will get a sense of how to access support via windows like Energy Catalyst, the Renewable Energy Performance Platform (REPP), the Sustainable Renewables Risk Mitigation Initiative and more. African partners and private developers will share their views on the relevance of such partnerships to enhanced NDC ambition and aligned policy reforms.
