Financial Times recognises Camco in annual ranking of fastest-growing companies

We’re delighted to see the Financial Times’ report listing Camco as one of Europe’s top 1,000 fastest-growing companies published in print this week.

The highly regarded publication is co-produced annually by the FT and data provider Statista and is based on an analysis of several years’ worth of revenue data.

This is the first time Camco has been listed in the rankings and is a reflection of the company’s ongoing expansion into new areas and geographies.

Since 2016, Camco has been proudly managing the Renewable Energy Performance Platform (REPP), which is funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) with the aim of catalysing the growth of small-scale renewables in Sub-Saharan Africa.

As our experience and expertise has grown through managing REPP – and the size of the team has increased - we have been looking at additional ways to finance innovative solutions to address climate change and deliver positive impact in emerging markets.

This has resulted in the development of Spark Energy Services, which finances energy efficiency and captive solar projects in Sub-Saharan Africa’s commercial and industrial sector, and TIDES, a blended finance platform aiming to ramp up investment in zero-emissions projects in the Pacific.

Camco’s appearance in the FT/Statista ranking is the second bit of good news for us this month, with the company having also been showcased in the widely respected ImpactAssets 50™ database, which lists fund managers who have consistently demonstrated a commitment to delivering social and environmental impact.
